Bobbiny Macrame Yarn and Sustainability - Interesting Facts about Bobbiny
At Bobbiny, sustainability is a top priority. All yarns available in our shop are made from recycled materials. These, in turn, are made from production waste, old clothes, and other cotton textiles.

From pulp to colored yarn
The materials are first cut into tiny pieces and then shredded again. The color is formed during this phase. The resulting pulp is then mixed in the correct proportions to achieve the desired shade. The fibers are then spun into yarn. Due to the production process, some batches may vary in color.
But it’s precisely the imperfection that makes a DIY perfect, right?

Water and toxic dyes are not used during the entire manufacturing process of Bobbiny yarns. The paper spool on which the cords are wound is biodegradable. Then there's the issue of transportation. Bobbiny strives to keep CO2 emissions as low as possible and limit energy consumption.

Bobbiny yarns are awarded the Oeko-Tex Certificate 100 and are GRS certified.
